IL Studio One is building one of Indias most exciting intersections of insurance, culture, creators, and digital-first storytelling. We are looking for a Senior Video Editor who can shape narratives, elevate raw footage into compelling stories, and mentor a growing team of editors to deliver best in class content.

This role is for an editor who lives for story structure: someone who instinctively understands pacing, timing, beats, scroll stopping openers, and how to craft a piece that holds attention from the first frame to the final hook.

What Youll Create

You will work across a wide spectrum of content formats:

- Digital & social films
- Brand and product stories
- High-impact performance videos with strong hooks
- PTCs, explainers, corporate AVs, promo edits
- Short-format reels and YouTube content
- Audio-first & podcast segments
- Episode outlines, guest-led conversations & host-driven formats
- Voiceover-led storytelling across business, culture, finance & insurance themes

What Youll Actually Do A senior editor here is not just an executor, but a creative partner, guide,



and narrative architect.
- Edit raw footage into sharp, cohesive stories with a deep understanding of pacing and emotional flow.
- Build scroll-stopping openings, rhythmic cuts, and strong transitions that hold viewer attention.
- Apply high-quality visual treatments, colour grading, sound enhancement, and motion elements to elevate the final output.
- Maintain a consistent IL Studio One visual language across formats.
- Guide and mentor junior editors on workflows, pacing, visuals, and narrative logic.
- Review edits, provide detailed feedback, and help editors build strong storytelling instincts.
- Set best practices for file management, proxy workflows, pacing styles, and common edit templates.

Cross Functional Support:
- Work closely with scriptwriters, directors, producers and strategy teams to interpret briefs and bring ideas to life.
- Translate scripts into powerful visual communication that resonates across digital platforms.
- Suggest creative approaches, camera/shot styles, reference moods, transitions, and experimental edit techniques.

Project Management & delivery
- Manage multiple simultaneous timelines with speed, accuracy, and creative clarity.
- Deliver technically precise, platform-optimized outputs for social, digital, YouTube, podcast, and corporate formats.




- Maintain high awareness of digital trends, creator formats, scroll science, sound cues, loops, hooks, and platform-native storytelling.

Who You Are
- Bachelors/Masters degree or a specialised course in Design, Visual Communication, Film Making or related fields.
- Robust technical proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, DaVinci Resolve.
- Deep understanding of digital audiences- what makes people pause, stay, watch, and engage.
- Proven ability to convert raw footage into emotionally resonant output.
- Comfortable working across brand storytelling, digital advertising, creator formats, corporate narratives, and performance-first content.
- Multi-tasker with the ability to manage complex timelines.
- Eager to learn new tools, formats, AI workflows, and storytelling methods.
- Experience across advertising, branded content, marketing, filmmaking, copywriting or multidisciplinary creative roles.

Preferred Candidate:
- Proven experience in branded content, agencies, or production environments with strong digital storytelling exposure.
- Technically strong editor who can blend traditional editing tools with emerging AI-based techniques to speed up and elevate storytelling.
- Loves experimenting with CapCut, VN, mobile-first edit tools, and creator-led pacing styles, also understands how edits behave on Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok-style formats.
- Highly aware of cultural shifts, meme formats, viral editing patterns, creator trends, and what drives shareability.
- Adept at editing host-driven videos, interviews, podcast visuals, conversation-heavy formats, and rapid turnarounds.
