About Position:

We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to join our growing database and infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and reliability of enterprise SQL Server database environments. This role requires strong expertise in database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, security management, and troubleshooting.

You will work closely with application, infrastructure, and business teams to support critical business applications and data platforms.

What You'll Do:

- Manage, administer, and maintain SQL Server databases across development,



testing, and production environments.
- Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Implement and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
- Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migration activities.
- Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and configuration enhancements.
- Monitor database health, storage utilization, and capacity planning requirements.
- Implement and enforce database security policies, access controls, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with application development teams to design, review, and optimize database schemas and queries.
- Troubleshoot database incidents and provide timely resolution for production issues.
- Automate routine database administration tasks wherever possible.
- Perform regular database maintenance activities, including integrity checks, index maintenance, and statistics updates.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and database standards.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and security assessments related to database environments.

Expertise You'll Bring:

- 5–12 years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in database backup, recovery, restoration, and disaster recovery planning.
- Experience implementing and supporting SQL Server High Availability solutions such as Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Replication, or Clustering.
- Solid knowledge of SQL query optimization, indexing strategies, and database performance tuning.




- Experience monitoring database health, performance metrics, and capacity utilization.
- Proficiency in T-SQL scripting, stored procedures, functions, and database programming concepts.
- Strong understanding of database security, user management, encryption, and access controls.
- Experience managing large-scale production database environments.
- Knowledge of database maintenance plans, upgrades, patching, and migration activities.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Experience working with monitoring and performance management tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
