Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced MongoDB Administrator to manage, maintain, optimize, and support MongoDB database environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring database availability and security.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, administer, and maintain MongoDB databases across development, testing, and production environments.
- Manage database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and capacity planning.
- Configure and manage replica sets, sharding, and high-availability environments.
- Perform database backup, restoration, disaster recovery, and data migration activities.
- Monitor database health, availability, performance, and resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot database issues, resolve incidents, and provide production support.
- Implement database security, authentication, authorization, and access control policies.
- Perform database upgrades, patching, maintenance, and configuration management.
- Work closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to support application requirements.




- Maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and best practices.

Required Skills

- 5–8 years of experience in database administration, with strong hands-on experience in MongoDB administration.
- Strong knowledge of MongoDB architecture, database configuration, and administration.
- Experience with replica sets, sharding, replication, and high availability.
- Hands-on experience in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Knowledge of performance monitoring, query optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with database security, user management, and access control.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
- Experience with database monitoring tools and production support processes.
- Valuable problem-solving, communication, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with MongoDB Atlas and cloud-hosted database environments.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP database services.
- Familiarity with automation, scripting, and database deployment processes.
- Experience with database migration and version upgrades.
