DawerOne is an AI-first product engineering and technology consulting company that helps businesses design, build, and scale digital products and enterprise technology solutions. We work with clients to solve complex engineering challenges through strong technical execution, thoughtful architecture, and practical application of emerging technologies.
You will join our Salesforce practice as the technical lead on a US-based enterprise implementation involving Salesforce development, enterprise integrations, data migration, and emerging AI capabilities. You work directly with the client-facing Solution Architect and Functional Consultant, turning the approved architecture and functional designs into technical designs and development tasks, building the complex and foundational components yourself, leading the integrations, and making sure the solution is reliable, secure, and maintainable.
A large part of this implementation is AI. Documents and unstructured data flow into Data Cloud, Agentforce agents act on them inside Salesforce, and MuleSoft IDP classifies and extracts from documents on the way in. You build and tune that layer, not just the CRM underneath it. Experience with Data Cloud and Agentforce is a strong advantage; strong hands-on Salesforce development and integration experience still comes first.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You give day-to-day technical direction to the Salesforce developer and engineer on the team, review their designs and code, and remain the primary technical escalation point, while writing production code yourself. We need someone who can work independently, make sound technical decisions, and deliver with minimal supervision.
Production experience integrating Salesforce with both SharePoint and QuickBooks is mandatory. You must have personally implemented both integrations in production environments, not worked near them. If you have strong general Salesforce experience but not these two integrations, this is the wrong seat.
This is a part-time contract: an initial six months at approximately 20 hours per week, remote from India, available 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM US Eastern on working days. That is 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM IST in US winter and an hour earlier in US summer.
There may be a longer-term opportunity. DawerOne is building its Salesforce practice and longer-term client relationships. Depending on business growth, project demand, and mutual fit, the contract may lead to a full-time role. Any such transition would be discussed separately and is not guaranteed as part of the initial contract.
Responsibilities
Technical design and build
You turn the approved architecture into working Salesforce, and build the hardest parts yourself.
- Translate the approved solution architecture and functional designs into detailed technical designs, specifications, and development tasks: object and field details, automation logic, and component interactions.
- Decide the implementation approach for each piece of work, whether configuration, Flow, Apex, LWC, APIs, or integration components, and build technical spikes and prototypes for complex or higher-risk functionality.
- Identify technical dependencies, constraints, and implementation risks before development begins.
- Lead complex configuration, automation, and custom development, building the technically complex or foundational components yourself and establishing reusable patterns for Apex, LWC, Flow, triggers, asynchronous processing, and integrations.
- Implement the approved data architecture: objects, fields, relationships, junction objects, and supporting metadata. Validate that complex relational structures perform correctly across the client's core business records, the parties and organisations connected to them, and their products and documents, implement the cross-record lookup and relationship logic that lets related information be reused, and protect data integrity with validation rules, automation, and duplicate management.
- Keep solutions within governor limits, security requirements, bulk-processing practices, and performance standards, and troubleshoot complex platform issues as the primary technical escalation point.
Data Cloud and Agentforce The AI layer of the implementation. Unstructured data comes into Data Cloud, Agentforce agents act on it inside Salesforce, and MuleSoft IDP processes documents on the way in. You build it, test it, and tune it.
- Configure Data Cloud connections and supporting components required by the approved architecture.
- Implement unstructured data ingestion: Data Lake Objects, search indexes, chunking, and retrieval configuration.
- Configure Agentforce agents: topics, instructions, actions, prompts, grounding sources, and guardrails, and implement the Salesforce actions and automation the agents invoke.
- Test AI responses, grounding behavior, permissions, and edge cases, then troubleshoot Agentforce and Data Cloud issues and tune configurations based on what you find.
- Support the MuleSoft IDP implementation for document classification, metadata extraction, Salesforce record association, and exception processing.
Integrations Salesforce is one system among several. You own the Salesforce side of every interface, and two integrations the engagement depends on.
- Lead the technical implementation of integration endpoints and interfaces: API contracts, payload structures, field mappings, authentication approaches, error-handling patterns, and retry and reconciliation mechanisms.
- Build or oversee the Salesforce-side components, such as Apex services, Named Credentials, External Credentials, Platform Events, and APIs, and troubleshoot integration issues across Salesforce and the connected systems.
- Coordinate technically with MuleSoft, Microsoft, QuickBooks, and other integration resources.
- SharePoint: lead the Salesforce-side implementation of the document-management integration. Surface SharePoint documents within Salesforce, implement record-to-document relationships and supporting metadata, and work with Microsoft technical resources on Graph API, authentication, permissions, and troubleshooting.
This is a mandatory requirement. Candidates must have hands-on experience delivering a Salesforce–SharePoint integration in a production environment.
- QuickBooks: synchronize business and financial data between Salesforce and QuickBooks. Build the synchronization workflows for customers, invoices, payments, and related records, implement data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation, and handle authentication, API limits, failures, retries, duplicate records, and synchronization conflicts.
This is a mandatory requirement. Candidates must have personally implemented a Salesforce–QuickBooks integration in production, with experience handling bidirectional synchronization where required. Quality, DevOps, and release The solution has to be deployable and supportable by people other than you.
- Set and enforce development standards across the Salesforce engineering team: naming conventions, exception handling, logging, reusable components, documentation, and unit-test coverage, with support for automated testing.
- Review code and complex configuration across Apex, LWC, JavaScript, SOQL, Flow, and integrations, so unnecessary technical debt is caught before it lands.
- Define source control, branching, environment management, and the CI/CD process for Salesforce metadata, support deployment planning, and troubleshoot failed deployments.
- Coordinate release dependencies across Salesforce, MuleSoft, Data Cloud, Agentforce, and integrations, and validate technical readiness before each release and production deployment.
- Support QA with technical test scenarios for complex functionality and integrations, lead defect triage and root-cause analysis, and take part in performance, security, integration, and deployment testing.
- Build in logging, monitoring, exception handling, and supportability, and support cutover, production deployment, stabilization, and technical knowledge transfer.
Leading the developers You direct the Salesforce developer and engineer day to day, while still writing production code.
- Break technical designs into actionable development tasks and provide day-to-day technical direction.
- Review developer approaches before implementation of complex functionality, and mentor developers on Salesforce engineering practices and solution patterns.
- Remove technical blockers and escalate architectural decisions when necessary.
- Coordinate technical activities across Salesforce, MuleSoft, Microsoft, and other engineering resources.
Minimum qualifications What matters most For us, these matter most.
- A production Salesforce–SharePoint integration you implemented yourself.
- A production Salesforce–QuickBooks integration you implemented yourself, including bidirectional synchronization where it was required.
- Strong proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, triggers, and Salesforce Flow, producing code another engineer can review.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise integrations involving Salesforce, including building and consuming REST APIs with authentication, authorization, and secure data exchange.
Experience
- 12+ years of overall software engineering experience, including at least 8–10 years of hands-on Salesforce development.

Who should apply This role suits an experienced Salesforce engineer who enjoys solving complex integration problems, takes ownership of technical delivery, can give transparent technical direction to other developers, and operates effectively without extensive supervision.
You should be comfortable working directly with client-facing technical and functional stakeholders, translating requirements into working solutions, and delivering high-quality implementations within a part-time engagement.
Most importantly, you should have real production experience with both Salesforce–SharePoint and Salesforce–QuickBooks integrations, not just familiarity with these technologies.
You should also want to build the AI layer: Agentforce agents acting on Salesforce data, Data Cloud over unstructured documents, and the testing and tuning that make agentic features trustworthy in production. If AI on Salesforce is something you read about rather than ship, this is the wrong seat.
If you have the required experience and are interested in contributing to a US enterprise implementation while exploring a potential longer-term relationship with DawerOne, we would like to hear from you.
