About the Role

Trassally International is seeking an experienced Senior R&D; Chemist specializing in nutraceuticals, herbal cosmetics, and wellness product development. The candidate will be responsible for formulation development, ingredient research, product testing, quality assurance, and manufacturing scale-up for B2B, B2C, D2C, and private-label brands.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and optimize formulations for nutraceuticals, herbal cosmetics, botanical-based products, and wellness supplements.
- Research and evaluate herbal extracts, plant-based actives, vitamins, minerals, functional ingredients, and other relevant raw materials.
- Conduct formulation trials, stability studies, ingredient compatibility assessments, and product performance testing.
- Support product development across relevant formats, including powders, capsules, tablets, syrups, creams, gels, oils, and lotions, depending on product category expertise.
- Ensure product quality, safety, stability, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Manage product sampling, troubleshooting, pilot batches, and commercial manufacturing scale-up.
- Coordinate with suppliers, production, QC/QA, regulatory, and business development teams.
- Maintain formulation records, SOPs,



technical specifications, stability reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Optimize formulations for efficacy, quality, cost, and manufacturing feasibility.

Eligibility Criteria

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemistry, Food Technology, Nutraceutical Science, or a related discipline.
- 5–15 years of relevant experience in nutraceuticals, herbal cosmetics, wellness products, Ayurveda-based products, or pharmaceutical formulation.
- Hands-on experience in R&D;, formulation development, ingredient selection, stability testing, and quality control.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, such as FSSAI for applicable nutraceuticals and AYUSH requirements for applicable licensed products, will be preferred.
- Experience in third-party manufacturing, private label, contract manufacturing, or B2B/B2C/D2C brands will be an advantage.

Compensation ₹4–7.2 LPA, based on relevant experience, technical expertise, and responsibilities.
