Role Overview

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with experience in UK construction projects to join our estimating team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), tender submissions and subcontractor enquiries, while coordinating with clients, contractors and internal team members.

The role requires a good understanding of UK construction practices, pricing methods, construction drawings and tender documentation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Estimating and Quantity Take-offs

- Review architectural, structural and MEP drawings, specifications and tender documents.
- Carry out detailed quantity take-offs and prepare accurate BOQs.
- Prepare cost estimates for new builds, extensions, refurbishments, loft conversions and commercial fit-out projects.
- Measure materials, labour, plant and associated construction activities.
- Apply appropriate rates based on project location, specifications and complexity.

2. Tendering and Subcontractor Coordination

- Prepare tender documents, pricing schedules and tender submissions.
- Identify work packages and issue enquiries to relevant subcontractors and suppliers.
- Obtain, review and compare subcontractor quotations.
- Identify scope gaps, exclusions, assumptions and discrepancies.
- Prepare tender clarifications, RFIs and tender queries.

3. Commercial and Cost Management

- Assist with cost planning, budget preparation and cost comparisons.
- Review variations and prepare variation quotations with supporting measurements and cost breakdowns.
- Assist with interim valuations, progress claims and final account preparation where required.
- Maintain project cost records and estimating rate libraries.

4. Client and Project Coordination

- Liaise with UK-based clients, contractors, architects and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with internal estimating teams to meet tender deadlines.




- Attend project meetings and provide updates on estimating progress.
- Maintain clear records of communications, quotations, assumptions and revisions.

5. Quality Control and Team Support

- Check measurements, quantities, rates and pricing before submission.
- Maintain consistent estimating standards and document control.
- Support junior QS team members through guidance, checking and knowledge sharing, where required.

Required Skills and Experience
- 4–5 years of relevant quantity surveying or construction estimating experience.
- Practical knowledge of UK residential and/or commercial construction.
- Experience in quantity take-offs, BOQs, estimating and tender preparation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience coordinating subcontractor quotations and tender queries.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Technical Skills
- Bluebeam Revu.
- PlanSwift or similar quantity take-off software.
- Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
- Familiarity with UK construction terminology, work packages and pricing practices.

Qualifications
- B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering, or a degree/diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
- Relevant professional experience in UK construction estimating and quantity surveying.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
