Senior Product Owner – Cards | Digital Banking

Contract: 12 months

Start: Immediate

Location: Fully Remote from India - Occasional Travel to the Middle East. All business travel, accommodation and visa costs will be covered.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience within Banking / Digital Banking , with strong hands-on Product Owner experience and deep domain knowledge of Debit Cards, Credit Cards and end-to-end digital card journeys .

This role requires someone who understands both the business and technology aspects of Cards , particularly the delivery of card-related capabilities through mobile and digital banking applications .

The preference is for candidates who can work onsite in Riyadh . However, we will also consider experienced international candidates willing to travel to Riyadh for approximately 2 weeks each month , working remotely for the remainder.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and drive the product vision, roadmap and backlog for Debit and Credit Card capabilities.
- Lead the delivery of end-to-end card journeys across mobile and digital banking applications.
- Define product requirements for card issuance, activation, servicing, virtual cards and card transactions .
- Drive digital card features including card status management, transaction controls, security settings and customer self-service capabilities .
- Work closely with business, technology, UX, architecture and delivery teams to translate requirements into functional solutions.
- Manage and prioritise product backlogs, epics, user stories and acceptance criteria .
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure successful delivery of card-related features and enhancements.
- Lead stakeholder workshops, requirements discussions and product demonstrations.




- Support Agile/Scrum delivery , sprint planning, backlog refinement, UAT and product releases.
- Ensure card-related solutions meet customer, business, security and regulatory requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of experience in Banking / Digital Banking , with significant hands-on Product Owner experience.
- Strong domain expertise across Debit Cards and Credit Cards .
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end card journeys through mobile and digital banking applications .
- Strong understanding of:
- Card issuance and activation
- Physical and virtual cards
- Card servicing and lifecycle management
- Card transactions and transaction controls
- Card status management
- Card security and customer self-service capabilities
- Experience defining and delivering digital card features and customer journeys .
- Robust experience managing product roadmaps, backlogs, epics, user stories and acceptance criteria .
- Proven experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments .
- Ability to work closely with banking stakeholders, engineering teams, architects and UX specialists.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Experience
- Experience working with Digital Banks, Challenger Banks or major Retail Banks .
- Knowledge of Visa / Mastercard card schemes and card processing platforms.
- Experience with card management systems, APIs and banking integrations .
- Understanding of card tokenisation, digital wallets, Apple Pay and Google Pay .
- Experience delivering mobile banking applications and digital self-service capabilities .
- Previous experience working on banking transformation programmes in Saudi Arabia or the wider Middle East.
