Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer with strong expertise in Power BI, Data Modelling, DAX, and Business Intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in designing enterprise-grade dashboards, developing optimized semantic models, and implementing advanced analytics solutions. Experience in the Medical Diagnostics, Healthcare, Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), Pathology, Radiology, or Healthcare Analytics domain is highly preferred.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and leadership teams to transform complex healthcare and operational data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

Power BI Development

- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level Power BI reports, dashboards, and scorecards.
- Create visually appealing and highly interactive dashboards for executive, operational, and strategic reporting.
- Develop reusable reporting frameworks and Power BI templates.
- Implement row-level security (RLS), data governance, and access control mechanisms.

Data Modelling

- Design and develop scalable Star Schema and Snowflake Schema data models.
- Build optimized semantic models for large datasets.
- Create fact and dimension tables aligned with business requirements.
- Optimize data relationships, hierarchies, aggregations, and performance.

DAX Development

- Develop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and calculated tables.
- Create advanced KPIs, trend analysis, forecasting, and predictive metrics.
- Implement time intelligence calculations including:
- MTD
- QTD
- YTD
- Rolling Periods
- YoY Analysis
- CAGR
- Forecasting Models
- Optimize DAX queries for performance and scalability.
- Data Integration & ETL




- Work with Database- SharePoint, SQL, Data Warehouses and Data Services, APIs.
- Develop Power Query (M Language) transformations.

Integrate data from:

- Various DBs- SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, SharePoint, REST APIs, Excel

Healthcare Systems

- Stakeholder Engagement
- Gather reporting requirements from business users.
- Conduct workshops and requirement analysis sessions.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Performance Optimization
- Optimize report performance and refresh cycles.
- Analyze and improve DAX and model performance.
- Troubleshoot Power BI Service and Gateway issues.
- Implement best practices for scalability and maintainability.
- Healthcare / Medical Diagnostics Domain Responsibilities (Preferred)
