Role Description This full-time, on-site Senior Piping Design Engineer role is based in Pune City and involves leading piping design activities for industrial and process plants. The individual will develop piping layouts and 3D models, prepare isometric and fabrication drawings, and ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications. Daily responsibilities include coordinating closely with process, mechanical, structural, and electrical teams, performing or reviewing piping stress analysis, and resolving design issues during project execution.

The role also requires reviewing vendor and contractor documents, supporting project estimation and planning,



and providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and designers.

The Senior Piping Design

Engineer will participate in design reviews, contribute to continuous improvement of design practices, and support field and construction teams as needed.

Qualifications

- Strong piping design skills, including Piping Design and Piping layout, routing, and 3D modeling in industry-standard CAD tools.
- Experience in Stress Analysis for piping systems, including familiarity with relevant analysis software and applicable codes and standards.
- Solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering principles, with the ability to apply them to piping systems and equipment integration.
- Exposure to Petroleum, oil and gas, or related process industries, with understanding of typical plant configurations and safety requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience working on basic and detailed plant engineering projects, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in reading and developing P&IDs;, equipment layouts, and general arrangement drawings.
- Knowledge of international design codes and standards commonly used in piping and plant design.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively on-site, and strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead engineering role and mentoring junior team members is preferred.
