SELCO Foundation is a not-for profit, public charitable trust. It was founded in 2010 and is headquartered in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. SELCO Foundation seeks to inspire and implement solutions that alleviate poverty by improving access to sustainable energy to underserved communities across India in a manner that is socially, financially, and environmentally sustainable. SELCO Foundation’s key objectives include:

- Systematically identify diverse needs of the poor, understand and define the role of sustainable development, poverty alleviation and decentralized energy.
- Create and deploy innovative solutions that positively impact well- being, health, education and livelihoods towards the alleviation of poverty.
- Foster the development of enabling conditions or an ecosystem through holistic thought processes in technology, finance, entrepreneurship and policy. Currently the foundation works across 10 states in India.

:

- Responsible for procurement of goods and services for the entire organisation
- Based on the program plan for the year create a procurement strategy for all project locations and able to manage procurement for execution of the programs pan India.
- Responsible for upgradation of procurement policy and procurement guidelines for the organisation




- Responsible for motivating and mentoring and managing a team 10+ team members
- Responsible for creating a sector wise database of large-scale suppliers/vendors in all the geographies that we work in and able to negotiate best rates and timelines.
- Hold frequent planning and procurement resolution meetings with teams to ensure and support timely operations
- Responsible for writing and publishing tenders, processing tender applications, working on agreements and work order etc.
- Ensure filing, archiving and documentation of all the procurements for the organisation

Key Requirements

- Minimum 12+ years of work experience in relevant field with track record of 50+ Crore worth procurement of goods and services
- Ability to mentor and manage the procurement team and collaborate with other teams in the organisation
- Strong skillsets to plan meticulously and rigorously follow up on day today basis
- Ability to evaluate quality of solar components, electrical components, health equipments and agri processing solutions etc
- Solid negotiation skills with added language skills of English, Hindi and Kannada preferred
