Purpose of the Role The Senior Manager Customs will be responsible for End-to-end management of EPCG scheme including license procurement, duty benefit availing, export obligation tracking, and license closure, while ensuring compliance with DGFT, Customs, and FTP regulations. Accurate and timely claiming of Drawback and RoDTEP benefits. Responsible for audit-ready documentation, advisory support, and supervision of broader EXIM benefits (Advance Authorization, Duty Drawback), along with regulatory compliance covering licenses, PGA requirements, and QCO/BIS standards etc.

Roles and Responsibilities :

EPCG Compliance – Key Responsibilities:

EPCG License Procurement & Management

- Claiming EPCG Perks on Imports: Ensure duty savings benefits under EPCG are correctly availed at the time of import.

Verify import documentation (Bills of Entry, invoices, packing lists) to ensure EPCG compliance.

Coordinate with Customs, ports, and CHA for EPCG-related clearances

- Export Obligation (EO) Tracking & Compliance: Maintain detailed tracking of Export Obligation (EO) against each EPCG license.

Monitor timelines, block-wise EO fulfillment, and ensure compliance with DGFT conditions.

- EPCG License Redemption & Closure: Prepare and submit applications for redemption / EODC (Export Obligation Discharge Certificate)

Coordinate with DGFT and Customs authorities for full and final closure of licenses.

- Duty Drawback – Key Responsibilities Identification and evaluation of eligible drawback scheme under Duty Drawback schemes.

Verification of correct HS Codes, DBK Codes, applicable rates for export shipments

- RoDTEP Benefits – Key Responsibilities: Verification of correct HS Codes, RoDTEP applicable rates for export shipments

Coordination with the IB Team to ensure accurate declarations in Shipping Bills for registering claim of RoDTEP

- Hands on experience in Managing the Other EXIM Benefits like Duty Drawback, RoDTEP etc.
- Hands-on experience in License, Restrictions, NoC Compliances including BIS and SCOMET.
- Basic accounting exposure including SAP postings and GL reconciliation.

- Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, ICEGATE, and DGFT portals.

Skills & Competencies

- Working knowledge of the Customs Act, DGFT regulations, and ICEGATE/DGFT portals.

- Hands-on experience in EPCG license application, export obligation tracking, license closure, and handling bond/BG cancellation.
- Hands on experience in Managing the Other EXIM Benefits like Duty Drawback, RoDTEP etc.
