LogicHive is currently managing the recruitment process on behalf of one of our esteemed clients for an experienced Kafka Engineer.

We are looking for a skilled qualified with strong expertise in Apache Kafka, Confluent Kafka, and enterprise messaging infrastructure to manage, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize real-time data streaming platforms. The role requires hands-on experience in Kafka platform administration, production support, performance monitoring, and incident resolution to ensure high availability, reliability, and operational stability.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience working with Cloudera, Dynatrace, and Splunk, along with a strong understanding of Kafka architecture and enterprise streaming environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer, configure, monitor, and support Apache Kafka and Confluent Kafka environments.
- Manage Kafka clusters, brokers, topics, partitions, replication, and consumer groups.
- Perform Kafka platform operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Monitor Kafka infrastructure and application performance using Dynatrace and Splunk.
- Support Kafka integrations and operations within Cloudera environments.
- Troubleshoot producer/consumer issues, message processing failures, replication lag, and connectivity problems.
- Ensure the availability, scalability, reliability, and operational stability of Kafka platforms.
- Perform root cause analysis and support incident resolution for production Kafka environments.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and engineering teams to maintain enterprise streaming platforms.
- Follow operational best practices to improve platform performance, reliability, and service continuity.

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Kafka engineering, platform operations, or related infrastructure support.
- Strong hands-on experience in Apache Kafka administration, operations, and troubleshooting.
- Practical experience with Confluent Kafka in enterprise environments.
- Working knowledge of Cloudera platforms.
- Experience using Dynatrace for infrastructure monitoring and performance analysis.
- Experience using Splunk for log analysis, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of Kafka architecture, including brokers, topics, partitions, replication, and consumer groups.




- Proven ability to troubleshoot production Kafka environments and resolve platform-related incidents.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams.

Candidates with strong production experience in Apache Kafka and Confluent Kafka, combined with hands-on expertise in Cloudera, Dynatrace, and Splunk, will be given priority. Candidates must be comfortable working from the Pune office five days a week and adhering to the specified shift timings.
