About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Solution Engineer with strong Java software engineering skills and practical experience building, deploying and supporting production applications on AWS.

The ideal candidate combines solid backend engineering fundamentals with Snowflake and modern AI/GenAI capabilities. We need an engineer who can personally design and implement solutions, troubleshoot production issues, and deliver reliable, maintainable software—not someone whose experience is primarily limited to solution architecture, AI research or proof-of-concept development.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test and maintain production-grade Java applications, backend services and APIs.
- Build and integrate applications with AWS services, with responsibility for deployment, monitoring, security and operational reliability.
- Work with Snowflake, including SQL, data integration, data modelling and performance optimisation.
- Develop and integrate AI/GenAI-enabled capabilities into production applications where required.
- Work with technologies and patterns such as RAG, agentic workflows, model integration and AI evaluation or guardrails, where relevant to the solution.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development productivity while maintaining code quality and security.
- Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, release processes and infrastructure automation.




- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, conduct root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
- Collaborate with product, data, cloud and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure and maintainable solutions.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

- Strong, demonstrable hands-on experience in Java software development.
- Experience building and supporting production-grade applications and backend services.
- Practical experience deploying and operating applications on AWS.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQL, including real project implementation.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including debugging, testing, code quality and maintainable design.
- Experience with production troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and application reliability.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD, version control and automated testing.
- Practical exposure to AI/GenAI integration or AI-assisted engineering, with the ability to explain personal implementation contributions.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions and trade-offs.
- Willingness to work from the Mumbai office three days per week.

Important Profile Criteria We are specifically looking for hands-on Java engineers who can demonstrate their own technical contributions.

Profiles focused primarily on data science, AI/ML research, prompt engineering, technical architecture or AI proof-of-concepts—without robust Java production engineering experience—will not be suitable.

AI/GenAI experience should complement Java, AWS and Snowflake expertise; it should not substitute for them.
