Job Purpose:

The Senior Engineer – Purchase Department is responsible for executing, optimizing, and overseeing procurement operations to ensure the organization achieves its goals related to cost, quality, and timely delivery. The role involves strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, and ensuring adherence to procurement policies, while contributing to the continuous improvement of purchasing systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Development

- Contribute to developing and implementing best-practice procurement strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency and supply chain performance.

General & Task Management
- Ensure procurement processes support business objectives in terms of cost, quality, and timely delivery.
- Regularly review and improve procurement policies to drive value and savings.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to procurement activities.
- Lead initiatives such as eProcurement implementation and supply chain digitization.
- Track performance metrics and provide regular procurement reports.
- Source and develop supplier partnerships aligned with production schedules.
- Negotiate contracts ensuring commercial advantage, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Evaluate tenders, analyze supplier capabilities, and ensure compliance to procurement policies.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to safety, health, and environmental standards.

People & Team Management




- Mentor and support junior team members in daily operations and skilled growth.
- Assist in setting team KPIs and performance targets.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and key suppliers.
- Communicate potential market changes and supply chain impacts to stakeholders.
- Support new business initiatives and assess their impact on procurement operations.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 6–8 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in cost reduction, supplier development, and contract management.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of automotive components and supply chain practices.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹970,000.00 per year
