Job role - Senior Engineer - Chassis (L6e, L7e and small cars)

Qualification - B.tech (Full time), No Diploma

The role focuses on the development and integration of chassis system components (steering, braking, suspension, drive shafts, etc.) within vehicle programs, ensuring compliance with styling intent, functional requirements, manufacturability, cost targets, weight and regulatory standards.

Tasks:

- Translate customer, regulatory, and functional requirements into technical specifications and development targets for Chassis components.
- Develop Chassis concepts in alignment with industrial design (styling), manufacturability, quality, cost, and program timing
- Create detailed CAD designs (3D + 2D) for Chassis components like tie rods, sub-frames components using Catia V5,



ensuring proper integration within the overall chassis system and vehicle package.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and functional requirements including drivability, comfort, durability and serviceability.
- Support cross-functional development, integration and manufacturing activities including design reviews, customer and supplier meetings, and coordination with architecture-, body-, PWT-, EE- and manufacturing engineering teams.
- Support off-the-shelf supplier steering in regard to technical, quality, timing, weight and cost target achievement.
- Support the CAD- and supplier release process and provide recommendations for design maturity and release readiness.
