Role Description The Senior DevOps Engineer (SDK-2) will design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure supporting SBS’s cloud-based financial technology platform. This full time, on-site role is based in Gurugram and involves collaborating closely with software development, operations, and security teams to streamline delivery pipelines and optimize system performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), setting up and maintaining CI pipelines, overseeing Linux-based systems, and ensuring high availability and observability of production environments.





The role also includes troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, improving automation and deployment workflows, and contributing to best practices, documentation, and technical standards across the DevOps function.

Qualifications

- Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar, and experience automating cloud infrastructure deployment.
- Proficiency in Software Development and scripting (e.g., Python, Go, Bash) to build tooling, integrations, and automation for DevOps workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and delivery pipelines using platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar.
- Solid System Administration and Linux expertise, including performance tuning, security hardening, monitoring, and incident resolution.
- Background in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering in large-scale, cloud-native environments, preferably within fintech or other regulated industries.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and related ecosystem tools.
- Knowledge of networking, security best practices, and observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing) for production systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and mentor peers on DevOps practices and tooling.
