About the opportunity

Taggd is hiring on behalf of a leading defence manufacturer for a Cost Accountant to own product costing for its ESR (Electro Slag Remelting) and forging operations at its plant in Hisar, Haryana.

This is a role for someone who wants to build costing systems, not just maintain them. You will shape how cost is captured, controlled and priced on defence-grade products, with direct visibility to senior management.

What you'll do

- Develop and maintain product costing for ESR and forging processes
- Run material, labour and overhead variance analysis, and drive corrective action with plant teams
- Prepare cost sheets for defence-grade products, including tender and contract costing
- Design standard costing mechanisms, costing controls and MIS frameworks
- Use SAP CO/MM/PP for cost capture, reporting and plant finance control
- Work closely with production, procurement, finance and senior leadership on pricing and cost decisions





What we're looking for - CMA / ICWA qualified (mandatory)

- 5–10 years of experience in plant costing or product costing

- Hands-on SAP CO; exposure to SAP MM/PP is a strong plus

- Experience in a manufacturing environment: forging, special or alloy steel, defence, aerospace, heavy engineering, auto components, or process industries (pharma, chemicals, metals, cement)

- Comfort working on-site at a plant and partnering with operations teams

ESR or forging experience is a bonus, not a requirement. If you have built cost sheets and run variance analysis in a plant, we encourage you to apply.
