Senior Alteryx Developer 5+yrs

We are seeking a Senior Alteryx Developer with deep specialization in Data Preparation and Wrangling to architect, clean, standardise, and enrich high-volume datasets across our enterprise data ecosystem. In this role, you will be the core technical authority responsible for turning messy, fragmented, and unstructured raw data into clean, highly structured, and business-ready data assets.

You will design production-grade data preparation workflows using Alteryx Designer, leverage In-Database techniques for massive scale, enforce data quality and governance standards, and feed pristine datasets downstream to BI platforms, machine learning models, and executive reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Data Preparation & Cleansing

Design, build, and optimize enterprise-level Alteryx workflows dedicated to heavy data profiling, cleansing, deduplication, blending, and schema normalization from disparate, messy sources.

Standardize data inputs across structured (SQL, Snowflake), semi-structured (JSON, XML), and unstructured formats (PDFs, log files, multi-tab Excel sheets, web scrapes).

Implement advanced string manipulation, regex patterns, fuzzy matching, and parsing logic to resolve data discrepancies and unify identity records across platforms.

Architect automated data quality auditing frameworks within workflows to detect, isolate, and log missing values, schema drifts, outliers, and corrupted records before downstream consumption.





Enterprise Pipeline Development & Scalability

Build high-performance ETL/ELT data preparation pipelines utilizing Alteryx In-Database (In-Db) processing and SQL pushdown execution to process multi-terabyte datasets efficiently.

Develop reusable Batch, Iterative, and Standard Macros to standardize recurring data prep tasks (e.g., date standardization, currency conversion, schema mapping, agile multi-file ingestion).

Build robust error-handling, automated alerts, and logging protocols to ensure zero data loss and seamless pipeline recovery during failure events.

Manage workflow deployment, scheduling, credentials, and data connection pooling on Alteryx Server (Gallery).

Required Technical Skills

Alteryx Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience using Alteryx Designer with a primary focus on data preparation (Parsing, Preparation, Transform, Developer, and In-Db tool categories).

Advanced Data Wrangling: Deep mastery of data manipulation techniques—including Regex, Parse, Fuzzy Matching, Spatial Data Prep, Cross-Tab, Transpose, and Join/Union strategies.

SQL & Data Warehousing: Advanced SQL proficiency (joins, window functions, CTEs, complex data type conversions) and direct experience wrangling data within cloud warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift).

Server Administration & Scheduling: 2+ years of experience publishing, scheduling, and optimizing memory usage for data-prep workloads on Alteryx Server.

Certifications: Alteryx Designer Advanced or Expert Certification required.
