The Group also owns and operates companies in India and the UAE and is growing its business interests in Kerala.

The role

We are hiring a senior, hands-on accountant who will be the main accountant for the Groups Kerala-based companies and will also act as our Business Development Manager in Kerala. You will take a business from registration to fully operational – incorporation, licences, approvals, accounting systems, statutory compliance and tax – then run its finance function while helping us identify and develop new opportunities. You will work directly with the Director of the company.

This is a senior role with no hand-holding. You must own outcomes, take the initiative, find the right advice and get approvals done without being asked twice.

What you will do

- Act as main accountant for multiple Group companies in Kerala: full books of accounts, monthly closing, MIS, cash flow, payables/receivables, payroll and bank reconciliations
- Set up new businesses from scratch – entity registration (MCA/ROC), PAN/TAN, GST, bank accounts, trade and local-body licences, sector approvals, and the accounting and control systems to run them
- Own statutory compliance: GST returns, TDS, income tax, ROC/MCA filings, qualified tax and other registrations – maintain a compliance calendar with zero overdue filings
- Coordinate with the Group’s chartered accountants, auditors and tax advisors for tax return filing, audits and specialist advice
- Liaise with government departments, banks, lawyers and consultants to secure registrations and approvals
- Support the Group’s planned land and property acquisitions in Kerala – title verification, due diligence, registration and ongoing property management, working with our lawyers and surveyors
- Support bookkeeping,



reconciliations and reporting for the Group’s UAE and Australian entities, working with their local accountants (multi-currency, intercompany)
- Business development: identify and evaluate opportunities in Kerala and wider India (including renewable energy and related ventures), prepare feasibility studies and business plans, build relationships with partners, suppliers and government bodies, and represent the Group in meetings and negotiations
- Report directly to the Director with monthly MIS, compliance status and business development updates

What we are looking for
- Currently based in Kochi / Ernakulam – mandatory; please apply only if you live in Kochi or are already relocating
- Minimum 5 years’ hands-on accounting experience, including time as the main or sole-charge accountant for a company
- Proven experience setting up a business from scratch – registration, licenses, approvals, systems and compliance
- Strong working knowledge of Indian GST, TDS, income tax and MCA/ROC compliance
- Proficient in Tally Prime / Zoho Books (or similar) and advanced Excel
- B.Com minimum; M.Com, MBA (Finance), CA Inter or CMA Inter preferred
- Self-driven, works without supervision, gets things done
- Commercial mindset with the confidence to represent the business externally
- Fluent in English and Malayalam
- Flexible with working hours – occasional calls with the UAE and Australia outside standard hours

Good to have
- Previous experience with land or property acquisition – title verification, due diligence, registration or property management
- Exposure to UAE VAT / corporate tax or Australian accounting (BAS / GST)
- Multi-entity or group accounting, intercompany reconciliations, FEMA/RBI compliance for cross-border transactions
- Prior business development, partnership or negotiation experience
