Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer with hands-on industrial safety experience in Gas Turbine (GT) and boiler dismantling projects. The candidate will be responsible for implementing site safety procedures, preparing and reviewing Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), conducting safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards during dismantling activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, review, update, and implement Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) for dismantling activities.
- Ensure all safety procedures are reviewed and approved before work commences.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings for workers, riggers, and site personnel.
- Monitor dismantling operations and stop work immediately if unsafe conditions or violations of approved safety procedures are identified.
- Ensure strict implementation of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for electrical, gas, hydraulic, and steam lines.
- Conduct site safety inspections and identify potential hazards during GT and boiler dismantling activities.
- Ensure safe rigging, lifting, cutting, and material-handling operations.
- Verify rigging plans, crane load charts, lifting procedures, and structural stability requirements.
- Monitor the safe identification, handling,



and containment of hazardous materials.
- Manage confined space entry permits and ensure compliance with confined space safety requirements.
- Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and risk assessments before high-risk activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industrial safety regulations, site-specific HSE policies, and permit-to-work (PTW) procedures.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with the HSE Manager, Project Manager, contractors, and site teams to maintain a secure working environment.

Education & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 35 years of hands-on industrial safety experience.
- Experience in GT dismantling, boiler dismantling, heavy industrial maintenance, or similar high-risk industrial projects is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of rigging, cutting, lifting operations, LOTO, and confined space safety is essential.
- Ability to enforce safety procedures and stop unsafe work without compromise.
