Role Description The Safety Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Ahmedabad Area, responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment across all facilities. This role involves conducting regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits, and ensuring adherence to applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.

The Safety

Officer will investigate incidents and near-misses, document findings, and recommend corrective and preventive actions, while maintaining accurate safety records and reports. Daily tasks include planning and delivering safety training, supporting emergency preparedness,



coordinating safety drills, and collaborating with operations, HR, and management to integrate safety into all work processes. The role also includes monitoring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), supporting contractor safety management, and continuously improving safety standards in alignment with company certifications and legal requirements.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health skills, with familiarity with relevant laws, standards, and best practices.
- Candidates should possess skills in Accident Investigation, including root cause analysis, documentation, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Candidates should possess skills related to Security, including awareness of site security protocols and coordination with security personnel where required.
- Candidates should possess Safety Training skills, including the ability to design, deliver, and evaluate training programs for diverse teams.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field are beneficial.
- Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, safety management courses) and experience in manufacturing or industrial environments are an advantage.
- Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills, along with the ability to influence behavior and promote a safety-first culture, are expected.
- Ability to work in office, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and use basic computer applications for documentation and reporting is required.
