Job Title: Restaurant Captain

Job Summary

We are looking for a service-oriented and proactive Restaurant Captain to oversee daily floor operations and ensure an excellent guest experience. The ideal candidate should have robust communication and leadership skills, sound knowledge of food and beverage service, and the ability to coordinate a team efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate stewards and service staff within the assigned section.
- Take guest orders accurately, recommend menu items, and drive upselling.
- Ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service.
- Maintain high standards of guest satisfaction and service quality.
- Handle guest queries, feedback, and complaints professionally, escalating issues when required.
- Conduct regular table checks and ensure compliance with service SOPs.
- Guide and train service staff on service etiquette, menu knowledge, and operational standards.
- Coordinate with kitchen, bar,



and other restaurant teams to ensure smooth service operations.
- Monitor table setup, cleanliness, hygiene, and overall floor presentation.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, section-wise stock checks, and operational checklists.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, food safety standards, and service procedures.

Requirements

- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality preferred, but not mandatory.
- 2 - 3 years of experience in restaurant operations or food and beverage service, preferably in a full-service restaurant.
- Good knowledge of food and beverage menus and service standards.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and guest-handling skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate a team.
- Customer-focused approach with good problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
