Role Summary: The Research Fellow (RF) will support a funded research project aimed at assessing the readiness of school teachers to integrate Computational Thinking (CT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy into classroom teaching. The project will primarily involve government schools in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Mehsana, focusing on teachers of Classes 3–5 and 6–8. The role involves field visits, reviewing curriculum and training materials, conducting teacher interviews, observing classroom practices, and collecting and analysing qualitative and quantitative data.

The RF will also contribute to developing a teacher readiness assessment framework, research instruments, and project reports.



The position offers an opportunity to engage in applied educational research at the intersection of technology, pedagogy, and teacher development.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate field research activities in government schools across Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Mehsana, including interactions with teachers and school administrators.
- Review curriculum and training materials related to CT and AI literacy, conduct teacher interviews, and undertake classroom observations.
- Assist in designing and administering surveys, interview protocols, and assessment instruments to evaluate teacher readiness for CT and AI literacy.
- Analyse qualitative and quantitative data and contribute to developing teacher competency frameworks, research reports, presentations, and academic publications.

Key Skills

- Solid grounding in research methodology, particularly qualitative and quantitative approaches used in educational and social science research.
- Experience in conducting interviews, field observations, qualitative coding, and data analysis using statistical software such as SPSS or R.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, including proficiency in Gujarati and Hindi for interacting with government school teachers and administrators.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and academic writing skills,



with a willingness to undertake regular field visits across Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Mehsana.

Qualification

- Postgraduate degree in Management, Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in educational research, field-based data collection, or working with schools and teachers will be an added advantage.
- UGC-NET qualification and JRF will have an additional advantage.
