Role : Research & Development Manager

Experience: Minimum 10 years with 10 to 15 or more years preferred

Base and travel: Hyderabad with travel to plants suppliers and testing centres (proposed)

Key responsibilities

- Build the product development and improvement roadmap from customer needs, competitor benchmarking and business priorities. Define specifications, schedules, resources and target product costs.
- Oversee chassis, frames, body parts, suspension, braking, ergonomics and serviceability. Review engineering drawings and component choices with internal teams and manufacturing partners.
- Adapt platforms for Indian road and usage conditions, heat, dust, rain exposure and rider loads. Develop local component options and qualify alternate suppliers.
- Manage prototypes and vehicle and component validation plans. Document durability, range, performance, charging compatibility and electrical and environmental test results.
- Coordinate applicable product certification and type approvals with qualified testing agencies. Maintain approval records and assess how design changes affect existing approvals.
- Define technical specifications and supplier acceptance criteria. Support supplier qualification, pilot builds,



process validation and production readiness with Quality and Manufacturing.
- Maintain controlled bills of materials, drawings, software versions, test reports and engineering change records. Release current technical information to production and service teams.
- Provide assembly requirements, end of line test specifications, service instructions and diagnostic support during product handover. Close critical engineering issues before release.
- Analyse warranty claims, service feedback and operating data. Resolve recurring failures through root cause analysis, validated corrective action and a documented field feedback loop.
- Reduce product costs through localisation, component commonality and validated design improvements. Assess reliability, performance and serviceability alongside savings.
- Lead engineers and external technical partners, manage the R&D; budget and track project risks. Protect confidential designs and technical information within approved agreements.

Pay: Up to ₹94,000.00 per month
