Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Regional Safety Lead to take end-to-end ownership of safety, EHS, and regulatory compliance across PhysicsWallah's offline centers within the assigned region. The role will be responsible for establishing and monitoring safety standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting audits, managing risks, and maintaining safe and audit-ready facilities across multiple locations. The Regional Safety Lead will work closely with Operations, Facilities, Projects, and Center Leadership teams to strengthen safety practices and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Regional Safety & EHS Management

- Lead safety and EHS initiatives across all offline centers within the assigned region.
- Establish and monitor safety standards, compliance practices, and risk management measures across locations.
- Collaborate with Operations, Facilities, Projects, and Center Leadership teams to maintain safe environments for students and employees.
- Monitor implementation of safety protocols and drive continuous improvement in safety practices.

2. Compliance & Audit Management

- Drive compliance with applicable ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.




- Conduct periodic safety audits, inspections, and compliance assessments across centers.
- Track audit observations and ensure timely implementation and closure of corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain audit readiness and appropriate compliance documentation across all assigned locations.

3. Infrastructure & Regulatory Compliance

- Ensure adherence to National Building Code (NBC) requirements and applicable statutory regulations.
- Monitor fire safety systems, emergency preparedness, and critical safety infrastructure across centers.
- Identify infrastructure-related safety gaps and coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution.
- Support new center launches and expansion projects by incorporating safety and compliance requirements during the planning and execution stages.

4. Risk Assessment & Incident Management

- Identify potential workplace, infrastructure, and operational safety risks and implement preventive measures.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
- Monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures across locations.
- Organize safety awareness programs, emergency mock drills, and training initiatives for employees and relevant stakeholders.

Eligibility & Qualifications





- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Safety, Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), Compliance, or Facility Management.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Knowledge of National Building Code (NBC) requirements, fire safety systems, emergency preparedness, and applicable statutory compliance.
- Experience in managing safety operations, audits, or compliance across multiple locations will be preferred.
- Solid stakeholder management, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify risks, drive corrective actions, and ensure consistent implementation of safety standards across locations.
