Every day, millions of shipments move around the world on data that nobody is looking at in real time. Orders, ASNs, invoices, and tracking events flow between 3PLs, forwarders, brands, and retailers, then get flattened into a status that tells you something went wrong only after it already has.

SwiftB2B exists to change that. We are an AI operating system for global supply chains. One platform where 3PLs, freight forwarders, brands, retailers, and manufacturers can see every item, shipment, and exception as it happens. The platform does not stop at flagging a delay. It works out what the delay costs, weighs the options, and starts the fix.

We built it on 15 years of SwiftAnt’s work in supply chain and EDI technology, and on a team that has spent careers in logistics, retail, and enterprise software. We are a Databricks partner and our data platform runs on the lakehouse.

A lot of the intelligence in this product is Python - the services that parse an inbound EDI file and turn it into a shipment, the jobs that score an exception and work out what it costs, the agents that draft a response to a carrier and wait for a human to approve it, the evaluation harness that tells us whether the natural-language query answered correctly. We need someone who writes Python for production, with tests and types and logging, and who is comfortable working next to data engineers on Databricks and AI engineers building agents. Supply chain knowledge is a bonus.

What you will do

- Build and maintain backend services in Python (FastAPI or similar) that sit between our data platform and the product: shipment and order APIs,



exception scoring, notification and workflow services.
- Write the parsers and transformers for logistics data formats: X12 and EDIFACT EDI, carrier and TMS APIs, flat files from warehouses, and the occasional spreadsheet a customer insists on.
- Build the plumbing for our AI features: tool definitions for agents, structured outputs, retrieval over governed metrics, evaluation harnesses, cost and latency logging per call. You will work with the Claude Agent SDK and Databricks Mosaic AI.
- Write Databricks jobs and notebooks in PySpark when the work belongs on the lakehouse, and plain Python services when it does not. Knowing which is which is part of the job.
- Ship through CI/CD with tests at every layer: unit, contract, integration. Add observability so a failure in production tells you what broke.
- Review AI-generated code properly. We use Claude Code daily. The code it writes compiles and usually runs. Whether it is correct is your call, and the review is recorded.
- Write the runbook for what you build so that someone else can operate it when you are not around.

What we are looking for

- Three or more years writing Python that ran in production and that other people depended on.




- Solid with the modern Python toolchain: type hints, pydantic, pytest, async, packaging, linting. FastAPI or Flask experience in production.
- Strong SQL. Experience with PostgreSQL or SQL Server. PySpark and Databricks experience is a solid plus.
- You have integrated with messy external systems: REST APIs with bad documentation, SFTP drops, file formats with no schema. EDI experience is a plus.
- Experience with message queues or event streaming (Kafka, Service Bus, Event Hubs).
- You have built or worked on LLM-backed features: tool use, structured output, evaluation. Experience with an agent SDK is a plus.
- Azure experience, Docker, and CI/CD with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- A background in supply chain, logistics, or B2B software is an advantage.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
