Job Summary:

St. Wilfred’s School, Mansarovar, is seeking a passionate, qualified, and student-oriented PRT English Teacher to teach English to primary-grade students as per the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a robust command of English, and the ability to conduct engaging, interactive and activity-based classroom sessions that build students’ foundational language skills and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach English to primary-grade students in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, activities, and assessments based on students’ learning levels.
- Develop students’ reading, writing, listening, speaking, and comprehension skills.
- Teach English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and sentence formation using age-appropriate methods.
- Conduct interactive sessions through storytelling, role-play, rhymes, games and group activities.
- Encourage students to communicate confidently in English.
- Assess students’ learning progress and provide individual attention wherever required.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure students’ active participation.
- Communicate with parents and colleagues regarding students’ academic progress.
- Participate in school events, academic meetings,



examinations and other assigned responsibilities.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in English or a relevant subject, along with a B.Ed. degree (mandatory).
- Experience: 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a CBSE-affiliated school.
- Curriculum Knowledge: Good understanding of the CBSE primary-level English curriculum.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Teaching Approach: Ability to conduct interactive, engaging and activity-based learning sessions.
- Subject Expertise: Strong command of English grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and spoken English.
- Classroom Management: Ability to manage young learners patiently and effectively.
- Student Engagement: Creative approach to teaching with the ability to make learning fun, meaningful and age-appropriate.
