About the Role
We are looking for a Project Manager to run end-to-end execution of our storage tank and silo projects, from order handover through design coordination, manufacturing, dispatch, site erection, testing and handover. You will be the single point of ownership for timelines, quality, cost and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Project planning and execution
- Take over projects after order finalisation and study the contract, scope, drawings and technical specifications.
- Prepare detailed project schedules, milestones, resource plans and budgets.
- Track progress against plan and take corrective action on delays, cost overruns and risks.
- Run regular project review meetings and share status reports with management and customers.
Design and manufacturing coordination
- Coordinate with the design and engineering team on GA drawings, structural calculations and approvals.
- Work with production, procurement and stores to ensure timely availability of materials (ZA sheets, GFS panels, bolts, sealants, accessories, roofing and ladders).
- Monitor fabrication and panel manufacturing schedules and resolve bottlenecks.
Site management
- Plan and supervise site mobilisation, foundation readiness checks, tank/silo erection, bolting, sealing and commissioning.
- Manage erection crews, supervisors and subcontractors, and ensure productivity and workmanship standards.
- Ensure compliance with site safety norms (HSE), including working at height and lifting operations.
- Conduct leak testing,
inspections and final handover with customer sign-off.
Customer and stakeholder management
- Be the primary contact for clients, consultants and EPC contractors during execution.
- Handle technical queries, change requests, variations and claims.
- Support billing, with timely RA bills, measurement sheets and payment follow-up.
Quality, cost and documentation
- Ensure adherence to quality plans, applicable standards and customer specifications.
- Control project costs, track BOQ vs actuals and report margins.
- Maintain complete documentation: drawings, MIRs, inspection reports, as-built drawings, completion certificates.
Qualifications and Experience
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (Diploma with strong relevant experience may be considered).
- [5-10] years of project management experience in steel structures, tank/silo manufacturing, PEB, or similar industrial projects.
- Direct experience with ZA tanks, GFS tanks, bolted steel tanks or silos is strongly preferred.
- PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, bolted tank/silo erection and site practices.
- Ability to read and interpret GA and structural drawings.
- Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera and MS Excel; comfort with reporting and MIS.
- Good understanding of contracts, BOQs, billing and cost control.
- Strong leadership, negotiation and communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Willingness to travel frequently to project sites across India.
