: Product Manager – Datacentres Applications

Location: Bangalore

Position Summary The Product Manager – Datacentres is responsible for defining, developing, and managing products, solutions, or services related to datacenter infrastructure/Architecture wrt Power Electronics Products with Oppertunity, operations and digital transformation.

The role combines technology, business strategy, customer understanding and cross functional collaboration of next-generation power electronics solutions for up-to-date data centers. Understand the requirement and bridge the gap between customers, R&D; engineering, and manufacturing to deliver high-efficiency, reliable, and scalable power conversion and distribution systems that support surging AI and cloud computing workloads.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

- Define product vision aligned with business objectives
- Define short-term and long-term product road maps
- Identify the technology trends in Data ceters (Enterprise, colocation, edge, hyperscale etc,.), AI infrastructure and Energy Management.
- Conduct market sizing, competitive benchmarking, and application analysis.
- Prioritize product requirements based on customer needs, cost targets, and ROI.

Product Development & Engineering Interface
- Convert customer requirements into Product Requirement Documents (PRD).
- Work closely with engineering, design, operations to guide design decisions.
- Drive feature prioritization and ensure alignment with timelines.
- Review systems design concepts and delivery priorities
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards (IEC, UL, BIS, ISO, TIA).

Product Launch
- Plan and execute go-to-market strategy.
- Prepare technical datasheets, product manuals, and certification documentation.
- Conduct internal training for sales, service, and channel partners.
- Drive pilot trials, field validation, and customer feedback loops.

Product Lifecycle Management
- Monitor product performance, cost, quality, and reliability.




- Coordinate cost-down initiatives with SCM and Engineering.
- Manage component EOL (End of Life) transitions.
- Drive continuous improvement and next-gen platform development.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with supply chain and procurement to ensure component availability
- Align with operations for manufacturability, testing, and yield improvements.
- Support marketing with technical content, brochures, and application notes.
- Support sales in key customer visits and RFQ responses.

Customer & Market Interaction
- Collect VOC (Voice of Customer) and translate into technical features.
- Work with OEMs/Integrators for customisations.
- Identify application-specific opportunities (colocation, enterprise, hyperscale, telecom providers etc,.)

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

- Strong understanding of system and subsystems of datacentres (Including Traditional Multi Stage & Next-Gen Architecture )
- Understanding about AC/DC à800VDCàDC/DC, PDU, GPU/Asic Voltage regulations.
- Knowledge on electrical systems design, cooling concepts
- Knowledge on AI/ML Infrastructure, cloud platforms
- Familiarity with datacentre infrastructure management
- Knowledge on digital twins, Automation / AI

Business & Product Skills
- Experience in building product roadmaps and managing product lifecycles.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills for pricing, costing, and market studies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication.

Qualifications
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
- 10–15 years of experience in R&D;, Applications Engineering, or Product Management in datacentres/ UPS domain / HVAC Domain, preferably from relevant industries.

Preferred Experience
- Should have handled datacentre products / systems / prefab design of datacentres / UPS/ HVAC systems
- Familiarity with Product certification (IEC/UL) & Testing
- Exposure High Power System 1.25MW to 5 MW
- Knowledge of PLM tools and project management tools.
