Product Manager – Hardware & UAV Systems

Job Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Product Manager to lead the lifecycle of our next-generation drone platforms and hardware offerings. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex hardware engineering, firmware/software integration, and market demand. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—spanning electrical, mechanical, and embedded systems engineering-to translate market needs into scalable, high-performing physical products.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

- Define and execute the product roadmap for hardware and drone systems in alignment with overall company vision and growth targets.
- Conduct continuous market research, competitive analysis, and teardowns to evaluate emerging trends in electronics, component availability, and UAV technology.
- Translate customer pain points and market opportunities into clear product requirement documents (PRDs), system specifications, and feature prioritization.

Product Development & Lifecycle Management

- Partner directly with cross-functional teams—including Electronics/PCB Design, Mechanical, Embedded Firmware, Systems Engineering, and Operations—to drive hardware from concept to mass production.
- Oversee the full hardware lifecycle: concept design, prototyping, EVT/DVT/PVT stages, testing, manufacturing handoff, and post-launch iterations.
- Balance technical trade-offs regarding component selection, Bill of Materials (BOM) cost, power envelope, weight, reliability, and manufacturability (DFM/DFA).

Customer & Go-To-Market Execution

- Engage directly with enterprise customers and end-users to gather actionable feedback and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality,



and Operations teams to ensure component sourcing resilience and smooth transition to production.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to craft product positioning, pricing models, technical documentation, and go-to-market strategies.

Metrics & Quality Control

- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across product adoption, unit economics, field reliability, and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize field telemetry and RMA/quality data to drive continuous hardware and firmware improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

Required Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline (MBA or MS preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of proven product management experience delivering hardware, embedded systems, electronics, or UAV/aerospace products.
- Electronics & Hardware Domain: Strong technical foundation in electronic systems, PCB assembly (PCBA) design cycles, sensor integration, microcontrollers, or power electronics.
- Drone/UAV Knowledge: Working familiarity with UAV architectures, flight controllers, telemetry, propulsion systems, or sensor payloads.
- Execution: Demonstrated track record of taking complex hardware/electronics products from initial schematic/concept stage through manufacturing and market launch.

Preferred Qualifications

- Hands-on background in hardware engineering, embedded software design, or systems integration prior to transitioning into Product Management.
- Direct experience managing BOM cost optimization, supply chain dynamics, and component obsolescence strategies.
- Familiarity with global hardware certifications and regulatory frameworks (e.g., FCC, CE, RoHS, FAA, DGCA, EASA).
- Experience working in quick-paced startup or rapid-hardware-prototyping environments.
