Experience: 12+ years overall | 6+ years solutioning | 5+ years pre-sales
ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Solution Architect to own and shape end-to-end solution responses for complex enterprise opportunities. The role requires strong solution architecture capability, hands-on pre-sales ownership, and the ability to convert client requirements into technically sound, scalable, secure, implementable, and commercially viable solutions. The architect will work across multiple industry domains, with mandatory BFSI exposure, and collaborate closely with sales, engineering, delivery, security, data, cloud, finance, and bid-management teams throughout the pursuit lifecycle.
MANDATORY EXPERIENCE
Requirement
Expected Evidence
Overall experience
12+ years in enterprise technology / solution architecture / technology delivery environments.
Solutioning experience
Minimum 6+ years of demonstrable solutioning experience across multiple industry domains. BFSI / Banking & Financial Services exposure is mandatory.
Pre-sales experience
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on pre-sales experience covering the complete pursuit lifecycle, not only proposal coordination or delivery support.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own solution architecture for RFI, RFP, RFQ, proactive proposals, renewals, expansions, and complex deal pursuits from discovery through solution defense and handover.
- Lead client discovery and clarification sessions to understand functional, non-functional, technical, operational, regulatory, security, scalability, integration, and service-management requirements.
- Create end-to-end solution architectures covering applications, cloud, data, integrations/APIs, infrastructure, security, observability, DevOps, AI/GenAI, and enterprise platform considerations as relevant to the opportunity.
- Define target-state architecture, solution components, technology choices, integration patterns, deployment approach, environment model, non-functional requirements, assumptions, dependencies, constraints, and implementation approach.
- Produce architecture diagrams, solution blueprints, logical and physical views, integration flows, data flows, deployment views, sizing inputs, and technical solution narratives for client-facing proposals.
- Work with delivery and engineering SMEs to validate architecture feasibility, identify delivery dependencies, and ensure the proposed solution can be implemented within required timelines and service levels.
- Lead effort sizing and estimation discussions; consolidate technical estimates, resource profiles, infrastructure/cloud assumptions, licensing inputs, third-party dependencies, transition effort, and implementation phases.
- Partner with finance and commercial teams to support cost models, pricing assumptions, deal economics, and solution trade-offs while protecting technical integrity.
- Identify solution risks and challenge weak assumptions, over-engineering, under-sizing, or non-viable estimates before submission.
- Lead or support client presentations, technical workshops, demos, orals, architecture walkthroughs, clarification responses, and solution-defense sessions.
- Coordinate contributions from multiple technology practices and domain SMEs,
ensuring a single coherent architecture and consistent proposal narrative.
- Own technical response quality, traceability to client requirements, architecture consistency, compliance matrices, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and technical sign-offs.
- Support transition from pre-sales to delivery through structured solution handover, architecture baseline, assumptions log, dependencies, risks, estimates, and committed scope.
- Maintain and improve reusable architecture assets, reference solutions, estimation models, proposal content, diagrams, accelerators, and lessons learned.
PRE-SALES LIFECYCLE - HANDS-ON EXPECTATIONS
- Prospect qualification and technical discovery
- RFI / RFP / RFQ analysis and requirement decomposition
- Clarification questions and client workshops
