Position : Playwright Automation Test Lead

Experience: 7 to 10 Years

Note: Minimum 34 years of hands-on experience in Playwright Automation.

Direct Responsibilities

Automation Transformation & Migration

- Drive endtoend Selenium Playwright migration
- Assess current coverage & define improvement opportunities
- Design a scalable, maintainable Playwright framework with coding standards
- Build and prioritize an automation backlog focused on highvalue scenarios
- Define roadmaps and deliver incremental migration milestones

AIDriven Enhancements

- Identify AI solutions to accelerate testcase creation and test scripts to convert from Selenium to Playwright
- Use AI tools for selfhealing Playwright scripts and maintenance

Test Automation Development

- Create/maintain UI & endtoend Playwright test suites
- Develop reusable libraries, utilities, datadriven & BDD components
- Ensure parallel execution and scalability to shrink regression cycles

CI/CD & Quality Engineering

- Integrate Playwright tests into Jenkins pipelines with reporting & quality gates




- Embed automated testing in release & deployment workflows
- Monitor pipeline health, resolve failures, and support shiftleft testing

Tool Integration & Reporting

- Connect test results to OpenText Octane, and testmanagement tools
- Build dashboards for coverage, execution, and traceability (requirements test cases defects)

Stakeholder Collaboration

- Partner with Product Owners, QA Engineers, and Project Managers
- Contribute to continuousimprovement initiatives across the QA function

Technical Skills:

- Proven handson experience with Playwright (incl. migration from Selenium).
- Solid programming in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java.
- Automation of web apps, APIs, and endtoend business flows.
- Deep understanding of framework architecture & design patterns.
- Git sourcecontrol (branching strategies).

CI/CD & Tooling

- Jenkins pipeline development & maintenance.
- Integration of automated tests into CI/CD.
- Proficiency OpenText Octane, and testmanagement platforms.
- Experience with GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
