Position: Commis Chef – Bakery & Pastry

Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Bakery & Pastry Commis Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of bakery and pastry preparation, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in preparing cakes, pastries, breads, desserts, cookies, and other bakery products.
- Support the senior chefs in daily bakery and pastry operations.
- Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and freshness of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the kitchen.
- Assist with mise en place and ensure all ingredients and equipment are ready for production.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain proper stock rotation.




- Work efficiently with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and service.

Requirements:

- 0–2 years of experience in bakery and pastry operations.
- Freshers with relevant bakery/pastry training or a culinary qualification are welcome.
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and pastry preparation is preferred.
- Positive teamwork, time management, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
