Nurses – Roles and Responsibilities

1. Roles and Responsibilities

- Patient Care: Take care of patients and ensure their comfort and safety.
- Vital Signs: Check blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and oxygen levels as required.
- Medication: Administer medicines as prescribed by the doctor and as per hospital protocol.
- Doctor Assistance: Assist doctors during patient examinations and treatments.
- Panchakarma Support: Assist with Panchakarma procedures as per training, authorization, and hospital protocols.
- Patient Monitoring: Observe patients and immediately report any changes in their condition.
- Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and follow infection-control practices.
- Patient Records: Maintain nursing records, treatment details, and vital signs.
- Emergency Care: Provide initial nursing assistance during emergencies and inform the doctor immediately.
- Professional Behaviour:



Communicate politely with patients and attendants and maintain patient confidentiality.

1. Required Skills

- Positive communication and patient-care skills.
- Knowledge of basic nursing procedures.
- Ability to check and record vital signs.
- Knowledge of medication safety and infection control.
- Ability to assist with Ayurveda and Panchakarma treatments.
- Patience, teamwork, discipline, and responsibility.
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly.

1. Required Qualifications

- Minimum Qualification: GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution
- Experience: Fresher or experienced for Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Panchakarma, or multispecialty hospital is preferred.
