Job Summary: We are looking for an L1 Network Engineer to monitor, troubleshoot, and provide first-level technical support for network infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for identifying network issues, performing basic troubleshooting, coordinating with higher-level teams, and ensuring timely resolution of incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor network devices, links, and connectivity using monitoring tools.
2. Provide L1 support for network-related incidents and service requests.
3. Troubleshoot basic issues related to LAN, WAN, Internet, VPN, and connectivity.
4. Perform basic configuration and troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls, and SD-WAN devices.
5. Troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching issues.
6. Monitor network alerts and identify outages or performance issues.
7. Perform basic troubleshooting of FortiGate Firewall and escalate complex issues to the L2/L3 team.
8. Coordinate with ISP and telecom vendors for link-related issues and follow-ups.
9. Check link status,



interface status, packet loss, latency, and connectivity.
10. Create, update, and maintain incident/service tickets with proper troubleshooting details.
11. Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams within defined timelines.
12. Maintain proper documentation of network incidents, changes, and resolutions.
13. Follow defined SLA, escalation matrix, and network support procedures.
14. Provide support during planned maintenance and network changes.
15. Prepare basic daily/shift reports and handover notes.
16. Hands-on experience with routers and wireless technologies.

Required Technical Skills:

1. Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI Model, LAN/WAN.
2. Positive understanding of Routing & Switching concepts.
3. Knowledge of VLAN, DHCP, DNS, NAT, ARP, ICMP.
4. Basic knowledge of Static Routing and Dynamic Routing protocols.
5. Basic knowledge of FortiGate Firewall.
6. Basic understanding of SD-WAN concepts.
7. Knowledge of ISP connectivity and troubleshooting.
8. Familiarity with network monitoring and ticketing tools.
9. CCNA certification or equivalent knowledge will be an advantage.

Additional Requirements:

- Preferably 1-3 years of experience in network support.
