Role Objective
Our Robotics team is building Manastu Space's drone program. This role owns mechanical design and analysis for the program end to end — components and subcomponents, material selection, and test fixtures.
Key Responsibility
- Design and analyze drone components and subcomponents in SolidWorks or Fusion 360 , backed by structural and CFD analysis in Ansys
- Set load cases, margins, and factors of safety for structural parts — and close the gap between what analysis predicts and what shows up in test
- Select materials and manufacturing processes, and work directly with our external manufacturing vendors — machining, composite layup, sheet metal, additive — to get designs built the way you designed them
- Design and build test fixtures and setups for structural, vibration, and flight testing
- Take designs from concept through released drawings and BOMs, ready for manufacturing
- Work closely with system, electronics, software, testing, and manufacturing teams, participate in technical reviews, design reviews, and engineering discussions
- Comfortable being fully accountable for your own designs — you can consult the design team, but nobody signs off on or monitors the work day to day
- Strong communication across functions — with manufacturing vendors, and with other engineering disciplines like electrical and validation
Experience & Background
- BTech/ MTech in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering OR Relevant Field
- Years of Experience designing UAVs — you've worked on a drone or similar aerospace platform end to end, not just standalone components
- Strong Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals
- Engineering Calculations and Analytical Problem Solving
- Hands-on experience in SolidWorks or Fusion 360 , and Ansys for structural and CFD analysis — you've taken designs from concept through analysis yourself, not handed that off
- Experience selecting materials and manufacturing processes, and working with external vendors through to a finished, built part
- Experience designing and building test fixtures or setups for structural , vibration , or flight testing
What to send us
- To:
[email protected]; Subject – Mechanical Engineer Application
- – Your CV along with the project portfolio which include your designs and analysis project, you personally worked on —
- – A short note — a few lines is enough — on one drone or robotics problem you solved : what was broken, what you tried, and what the result was. Include the numbers if you have them.
