RL Technologies is looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer / CAD Design Engineer with experience in designing and drafting water and wastewater treatment plant systems, including Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), and Water Treatment Plants (WTP).

The candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering drawings, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs;), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, piping layouts, equipment layouts, and technical documentation to support project execution.

Candidates with strong knowledge of AutoCAD, mechanical drafting, piping design, and water treatment equipment will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD for STP, ETP, and WTP projects.
- Develop and update Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs;).
- Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings for treatment plants, equipment, tanks, and structures.
- Design piping layouts and routing for pumps, blowers, valves, pipelines, and chemical dosing systems.
- Prepare layouts for Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ultrafiltration (UF), and Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) systems.
- Develop equipment arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings.
- Assist in hydraulic calculations, equipment selection, and basic mechanical design calculations.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), Bill of Materials (BOM), equipment datasheets, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with process engineers,



project engineers, site teams, and vendors.
- Review drawings and make revisions based on project requirements.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, engineering standards, and site requirements.
- Support project execution by providing technical drawings and design documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D drafting.
- Knowledge of mechanical layouts, piping systems, and engineering drawings.
- Understanding of pumps, blowers, tanks, valves, and water treatment equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs; and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of BOQ/BOM preparation and technical documentation.
- Positive communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in STP, ETP, WTP, RO, UF, or MBR projects.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D or AutoCAD P&ID.;
- Familiarity with SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or Revit.
- Knowledge of piping design standards and engineering practices.
- Experience preparing equipment layouts, piping isometrics, and fabrication drawings.

Experience

- Preferred: 2–5 years in mechanical design, CAD drafting, or water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Candidates with relevant AutoCAD skills and knowledge of STP/ETP/WTP systems may also apply.
