Role & responsibilities :

Strategy and brand

Develop and lead the annual communications plan for South Asia, aligned with business objectives and MESA and Group priorities.

Propose the annual marketing and communications budget for South Asia and track spend against it, including agency costs.

Make sure all communications and materials follow Group brand guidelines and messaging.

Agency management

Lead the relationship with Egiss PR agency in the region.

Brief and manage event agencies where required, including for exhibition stand builds and client events.

Write transparent briefs, agree scopes of work, timelines and deliverables, and hold agencies to them.

Track agency spend against the approved budget, approve outputs for quality and brand compliance, and monitor performance against agreed KPIs.

Recommend changes to agency scope when performance or business needs require it.

Media and reputation

Lead media relations, with PR agency support, as the primary contact for media inquiries. Manage proactive and reactive coverage and coordinate interviews and press events, following the approval process agreed with the Regional Marketing & Communications Director.

Secure client and partner approvals before publicising projects, in line with contract requirements.

Prepare spokespeople with key messages, briefing notes and talking points.

Build and maintain relationships with business, infrastructure and trade media across South Asia.

Lead issues and crisis communications locally in coordination with MESA and Group, including holding statements and escalation.

Monitor media coverage and sentiment, and report risks and opportunities with recommended actions.

Digital and executive communications

Lead Egis South Asias LinkedIn and digital presence: content calendar, publishing, community management and performance reporting.

Build the external profile of South Asia leadership through LinkedIn content, bylined articles and speaking opportunities.





Awards and events

Actively identify relevant industry awards across South Asia, recommend which to enter, and prepare and submit entries for Egis projects, people and the business.

Actively identify industry conferences, exhibitions, forums and speaking opportunities, and recommend which Egis should take part in.

Lead Egis’s participation in selected events, including exhibition stands and client events, working with event agencies where required.

Maintain an annual awards and events calendar for South Asia, aligned with business priorities and the approved budget.

Content and production

Work with project teams and business lines to collect stories, data and imagery, and turn them into project stories, press releases, articles and video, working with the in-house team.

Lead the production of communication materials such as brochures, presentations and videos, working with the in-house regional graphic designer.

Internal communications

Lead internal communications for South Asia: intranet content, contributions to regional newsletters, leadership messages, town halls and employee engagement campaigns.

Performance

Set and track KPIs (coverage, share of voice, social engagement, internal reach, awards, events, agency delivery, budget) and report them to the Regional Marketing & Communications Director.

Keep up with communication trends and tools, and recommend improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

8+ years in B2B communications. Experience in infrastructure, engineering, consulting or professional services is strongly preferred.

Proven experience managing PR agencies; experience managing event suppliers is an advantage.

An established network in South Asia’s business and infrastructure media.

A track record of managing corporate LinkedIn channels and building executive profiles.

A track record of successful award entries and managing event participation.

Experience in issues or crisis communications.

Knowledge of the South Asia markets.
