Role Description The Marketing and Public Relations Intern role is a remote internship focused on supporting Matchpod’s visibility and engagement with prospective users. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with the creation and scheduling of marketing content, supporting social media campaigns, and contributing to public relations activities such as outreach and drafting basic press or partner communications. The intern will help conduct market research to understand user demographics and trends, contribute to marketing strategy discussions, and assist with community-building initiatives.

The role may also involve responding to user inquiries,



gathering feedback, and collaborating with other team members to improve communication and user experience.

Qualifications

- Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to represent the brand professionally.
- Ability to conduct Market Research to identify user needs, trends, and opportunities in the roommate matching and housing market.
- Interest or foundational knowledge in Marketing Strategy and Sales to support campaigns and user acquisition initiatives.
- Customer Service orientation, with the ability to respond to inquiries, gather feedback, and support user satisfaction.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote setting.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently as well as collaborating with a distributed team.
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a program in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
