Urgent opening for the profile of Senior Purchase Manager at location Lower Parel, Mumbai/ Mulund.
Educational Background: Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or related engineering discipline preferred).
Experience: 78 years of relevant experience in Purchase, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management (must have exxperience in manufacturing Industry) .
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end procurement and purchasing activities.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
* Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial agreements.
* Source raw materials, consumables, engineering items, spare parts, and other required materials.
* Ensure timely availability of materials to support smooth production and business operations.
* Manage and coordinate the supply chain to ensure timely and cost-effective material availability.
* Monitor supplier lead times, logistics, inventory levels, and supply risks.
* Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and maintain proper procurement documentation.
* Conduct vendor evaluation, performance monitoring, and supplier development.
* Analyze market trends, material prices, and supply chain challenges.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective purchasing strategies.
* Coordinate with Production, Stores, Finance, Maintenance, and other internal departments.
* Ensure optimum inventory levels and avoid material shortages or excess stock.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
* Prepare purchase reports, MIS, and cost analysis for management.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Educational Background: Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or related engineering discipline preferred).
* Experience: 78 years of relevant experience in Purchase, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management.
* Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Management, including sourcing, procurement, inventory planning, logistics, and vendor management.
* Experience in a manufacturing or engineering industry will be preferred.
* Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
* Positive knowledge of procurement processes, purchase documentation, and inventory management.
* Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
* Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
* Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
