Role & responsibilities

Order Management & Delivery Execution

- Own the complete order lifecycle, from order creation and validation through delivery and fulfillment.
- Monitor order status, backlog, and delivery commitments using SAP and related systems.
- Drive on-time delivery performance through proactive issue resolution, prioritization, and escalation management.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to capacity constraints, material shortages, and quality concerns.

Production Planning & Coordination

- Collaborate with Production Planning and Manufacturing teams to translate customer demand into executable production plans.
- Support capacity planning, line loading, production sequencing, and bottleneck management.
- Coordinate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure material availability and readiness.
- Review production schedules and recommend actions to improve delivery performance.

SAP & Operational Excellence

- Ensure effective execution of order management and planning processes within SAP.
- Maintain data accuracy across planning and execution systems.
- Develop and improve operational dashboards and reports for backlog management, delivery performance, material shortages, and production status.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Quality & Technical Issue Resolution

- Support resolution of quality and technical issues impacting customer deliveries.




- Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Production, and Supplier teams to develop recovery plans and ensure timely closure of issues.
- Assess the impact of non-conformances, rework, and material holds on delivery schedules and drive corrective actions.

Stakeholder Management

- Act as the primary point of contact for order fulfillment and delivery status.
- Communicate project progress, delivery risks, and recovery plans to key stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to achieve business objectives and customer commitments.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) - Mandatory.
- 9-10 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or components businesses.
- Solid experience in order management, production planning, and supply chain coordination within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with SAP (SD, MM, PP modules preferred).
- Robust understanding of production planning concepts, including capacity planning, bottleneck management, production sequencing, and takt time.
- Ability to analyze operational issues and drive effective resolution across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-driven professional with a strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently.
