Role

This is a key role within the Finance & Accounts team and is responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring a company's financial activities to ensure financial stability, profitability, and compliance with laws and regulations. The Manager – Finance acts as the bridge between Accounts, Payroll, Taxation, Banking, Auditors, and Senior Management, ensuring that all financial processes run smoothly and support business growth.

1. Financial Planning and Budgeting

- Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts;
- Monitor actual performance against budgets;
- Recommend corrective actions when required.

2. Financial Reporting

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements;
- Analyze financial data and present reports to management;
- Ensure accuracy of accounting records.

3. Cash Flow Management

- Monitor cash inflows and outflows;
- Ensure sufficient liquidity for business operations;
- Manage banking relationships and fund utilization.

Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight

- Ensure timely payment to vendors;
- Monitor customer collections and outstanding receivables;
- Improve working capital management.

5. Payroll & Employee Benefits Management

- Review payroll processing;
- Ensure statutory deductions such as PF, ESI, PT, TDS, etc. are correctly calculated and deposited;
- Monitor employee compensation and benefits-related costs.

6. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

- Ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other applicable laws;
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities;
- File statutory returns within prescribed timelines.

7. Audit Coordination

- Manage internal and external audits;
- Prepare schedules and supporting documents for auditors;
- Implement audit recommendations and strengthen controls.

8. Financial Analysis & Decision Support

- Analyze business performance, profitability, and costs;
- Prepare MIS reports and dashboards;
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

9. Risk Management & Internal Controls

- Develop and maintain financial controls and policies;
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation measures;
- Prevent fraud and ensure proper governance.

10. Team Management

- Lead and supervise finance and accounts team members;
- Allocate work, review performance, and provide guidance;
- Build capability within the finance function.

Skills

- Strong knowledge of taxation & compliance;
- Knowledge of the rules, methods, and compliance requirements related to how transactions between related entities (such as subsidiaries of the same multinational company) are priced;
- Solid working knowledge of ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Tally) along with expertise in ZOHO Accounting software;
- Leadership and team management capabilities;
- Strategic thinking for budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
