Role Description The Manager – Accounts & Compliance role is a full time, on-site position based in the Greater Kolkata Area. This role involves overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and monthly closing activities. The manager will ensure compliance with relevant tax laws GST, TDS, financial regulations, and internal policies, while preparing accurate financial statements and reports for leadership.

Responsibilities also include coordinating with auditors, implementing internal controls, and supporting process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and transparency.



The role may involve collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that financial and compliance requirements are met for business initiatives and regulatory filings.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong accounting and finance skills, including ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
- Candidates should possess compliance and regulatory skills, such as knowledge of tax laws, statutory requirements, and internal control frameworks.
- Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and recommend improvements.
- Candidates should possess organisational and time management skills to handle multiple deadlines and maintain accurate documentation.
- Candidates should possess communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with auditors, management, and cross-functional teams.
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA at least intermediate, MBA) are an advantage.
- Experience in managing accounts and compliance functions, ideally within FMCG, retail, or consumer goods sectors, is beneficial.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, along with familiarity with ERP systems, will be advantageous.
