Job Summary

Ssquad Global is seeking a Legal & Compliance Officer with 2–4 years of experience in corporate law and compliance, preferably in the IT, technology, or software industry. The candidate will support corporate legal matters, contract management, regulatory compliance, data privacy, intellectual property, and employment-related legal requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong legal knowledge, excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide legal advice and support on corporate matters, corporate governance, and commercial transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, software licensing agreements, partnership agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other legal documents.
- Monitor and support compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including relevant data privacy requirements such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Manage intellectual property matters, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
- Develop, review, and maintain corporate policies, compliance procedures, ethics guidelines, and risk management frameworks.




- Conduct legal research and communicate relevant regulatory and legislative updates to stakeholders.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D;, HR, and other departments to address legal and compliance matters.
- Draft and review employment agreements and assist with employment-related legal issues.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel and liaise with regulatory authorities when required.
- Develop and conduct employee compliance training and awareness sessions.

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or an equivalent recognized legal qualification.
- 2–4 years of experience in corporate law and compliance.
- Experience in the IT, technology, or software industry is preferred.
- Good understanding of corporate governance, contract law, intellectual property, and data privacy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
- High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and skilled ethics.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently as well as collaboratively.

Preferred Qualification: Certifications in data privacy or compliance, such as CIPP, are an advantage.
