The Team Lead — Statutory Filing & Money Movement will be responsible for executing statutory fi lings and statutory payments across all BAU customers. The role owns the end-to-end fi ling cycle: reconcile the statutory and other reports with the payroll deliverable as well as validating against the compliance report specifications, submitting the return, executing or instructing the statutory payment, and retaining complete, retrievable evidence. Specification gaps are ticketed to the Compliance team; process delays and deadline risks are escalated to management before a deadline is missed.

A defining feature of the role is control discipline.

The Team

Lead operates a cross-region maker-checker model, enforces documented standard operating procedures for every country-fi ling combination, and is accountable for ensuring that no return is released on an unresolved exception.

The Team

Lead also acts as maker or checker on fi lings as directed by management and takes personal ownership of the most complex and highest-exposure entities.

Education and Experience:

● At least seven (7) years in multi-country payroll operations, including five (5) years executing statutory filings to tax and social security authorities.

● Hands-on filing experience on authority portals in at least four (4) jurisdictions, including remediation of validation failures.

● At least three (3) years in a team leadership role within payroll, compliance or shared-service delivery.

● Demonstrated experience delivering automation projects for statutory fi ling, including automated validation, reconciliation or submission, with proactive controls that prevent defects rather than detect them after filing

. ● Demonstrated experience operating maker-checker or segregation-of-duties controls in a regulated environment.

● Working knowledge of statutory payment execution, dual authorization and settlement timing.

● Bachelor's degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, Law or a related field.

● Strong understanding of payroll tax and social security computation, and the derivation of statutory report values from payroll output.

● Exceptional attention to detail, with the judgement to hold a filing rather than release it on an unresolved exception.

● Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and large-file reconciliation.

● Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to document a fi ling position clearly enough to defend it to an authority.

Nice to Have

● Qualified certification such as CPP, CIPP, CPA or an equivalent payroll or tax qualification.

● Experience in a global payroll outsourcing or SaaS payroll environment.

● Prior interaction with tax or social security authorities on assessments, queries or audits.

● Experience contributing to control frameworks assessed under ISAE 3402 or SOC 1.

● Working knowledge of Monday.com or an equivalent workfl ow platform.
