Position: Pod lead - Chemical Engineering

Type: Short-term contract

Compensation: $15/hr

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor a pod of technical trainers, ensuring consistent quality and productivity.
- Review engineering tasks for technical accuracy and reproducibility.
- Validate tasks involving reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and process simulation.
- Ensure tasks reflect realistic chemical engineering workflows.
- Provide transparent technical feedback and track revisions.

Requirements

- Ph.D., postdoctoral experience, or equivalent advanced technical experience in Chemical Engineering.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Julia, C/C++, or MATLAB/Octave.
- Hands-on expertise in process modeling, reaction kinetics, or thermodynamic modeling.
- Strong understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals and computational modeling.
- Experience reviewing complex technical work and chemical process simulations.
