Position Title: Lead – Brand Intellectual Property (IP)

Experience: 15–18 Years

Qualification: M.Pharm / Ph.D. with LLB (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute comprehensive IP strategies to support business objectives and brand protection across global markets.
- Lead patent filing, drafting, prosecution, opposition, and defence activities for pharmaceutical products and technologies.
- Drive Loss of Exclusivity (LOE) management through LOE extension and strengthening initiatives.
- Formulate and implement Lifecycle Management (LCM) strategies to enhance product value and sustain market exclusivity.
- Conduct patentability assessments, Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) evaluations, and patent certifications.
- Perform patent landscaping, communication landscaping, and competitive intelligence analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
- Monitor global patent activities, emerging technologies, competitor pipelines, and therapeutic market developments.
- Support Patent Term Extension (PTE) strategies and regulatory exclusivity planning.
- Provide strategic recommendations on patent challenges, litigation support, and risk mitigation.




- Collaborate closely with R&D;, Regulatory Affairs, Business Development, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams on IP-related matters.
- Build and maintain a robust global IP portfolio aligned with the organization's innovation and growth objectives.

Functional Expertise

- Deep expertise in pharmaceutical patent law and global IP regulations.
- Robust understanding of patent prosecution, litigation support, patent certification, and portfolio management.
- Proven experience in patent landscaping, competitive monitoring, and exclusivity management.
- Hands-on experience managing complex IP matters for innovative and specialty pharmaceutical products.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Strong scientific and medical understanding of Oncology, Urology, and CNS therapeutic areas.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing global patent strategies for branded pharmaceutical products.
- Specialist in Pharmaceutical Patent Law with the ability to influence cross-functional and senior leadership teams.
