About the Company:

John Buildwell India (P) Ltd. is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and motivated Interior Design Assistant / Junior Interior Designer to support the design and project execution team. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in interior design, technical drawings, material selection, and project coordination, along with a willingness to learn and grow in a professional environment.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Design Development & Technical Drawings

- Translate design concepts and client requirements into accurate 2D drawings and 3D visualizations.
- Prepare floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations, sections, and basic interior detailing.
- Assist in preparing technical drawings and construction documentation using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or other relevant software.

2. Material Sourcing & Selection

- Research and source suitable materials, finishes, tiles, paints, laminates, fabrics, lighting, and hardware.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotations, samples, specifications, and product catalogues.
- Maintain and organize the material and sample library.

3. Design Presentations & 3D Visualization

- Prepare mood boards, color palettes, material boards, and design presentations.
- Assist in creating 3D models, renders, and visual presentations for client approvals.
- Develop presentation decks using relevant design and graphic software.

4. Project Coordination & Documentation

- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, carpenters, and other project stakeholders.
- Track material orders, delivery schedules, quotations, and procurement status.
- Maintain project files, meeting minutes,



drawing revisions, and documentation records.

5. Site Visits & Execution Support

- Accompany senior designers or project managers on site visits and inspections.
- Assist with site measurements and verification of existing conditions.
- Review site execution against approved drawings and design specifications.
- Support the team in ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely project completion.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp; knowledge of Revit, 3ds Max, V-Ray, or other rendering tools is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of space planning, materials, finishes, furniture layouts, and interior detailing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Positive communication, coordination, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning.
