The candidate will contribute to firmware development, microcontroller programming, hardware integration, debugging, and testing for motor controllers and embedded electronic systems. The ideal candidate should have practical experience developing and troubleshooting embedded firmware, with an understanding of BLDC/PMSM motors and motor-control concepts.
Candidates with only academic projects, college projects, or training experience will not be considered as meeting the minimum professional experience requirement.
Key Responsibilities1. Embedded Firmware Development
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain firmware using Embedded C/C++.
- Write efficient firmware for microcontrollers used in embedded electronic systems.
- Work with GPIO, timers, interrupts, ADC, PWM, and other microcontroller peripherals.
- Implement and troubleshoot UART, SPI, I2C, and CAN communication interfaces as required.
- Write modular, reliable, and maintainable firmware for hardware products.
1. Motor Control & Power Electronics
- Support firmware development for BLDC and PMSM motor controllers.
- Understand motor-control fundamentals, PWM generation, and speed/torque control.
- Assist with the implementation and testing of FOC, SPWM, and SVPWM techniques.
- Work with motor drivers, current sensors, encoders, and other feedback devices.
- Collaborate with the R&D; team to troubleshoot motor-control and hardware integration issues.
1. Hardware Integration & Debugging
- Integrate firmware with electronic circuits, sensors, actuators, and control boards.
- Debug firmware and hardware issues using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and debugging tools.
- Analyze communication failures, timing issues,
signal behavior, and peripheral operation.
- Support board-level testing and troubleshooting during prototype development.
1. Research, Development & Testing
- Participate in the development and validation of embedded prototypes.
- Conduct functional testing, performance evaluation, and firmware optimization.
- Document test results, debugging findings, and technical changes.
- Work with senior engineers to improve product reliability and performance.
- Use AI-assisted development tools where appropriate to support coding, debugging, and technical research.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E. or Diploma in Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Instrumentation, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of skilled experience in embedded systems, firmware development, or a closely related technical role.
- Strong working knowledge of Embedded C/C++; C++ experience is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers such as STM32, ARM Cortex-M, PIC, AVR, ESP32, or similar platforms.
- Practical understanding of UART, SPI, and I2C; CAN is an advantage.
- Knowledge of GPIO, interrupts, timers, ADC, and PWM.
- Experience with firmware debugging, hardware testing, and sensor interfacing.
- Basic understanding of electronic circuits, motor drivers, and power electronics.
- Ability to read technical datasheets, debug problems, and work independently on assigned tasks.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with BLDC/PMSM motors or motor controllers.
- Knowledge or practical exposure to FOC, SPWM, or SVPWM.
- Experience with STM32 development, ARM Cortex-M, or RTOS-based firmware.
- Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and embedded debugging tools.
- Exposure to EV systems, inverters, cordless power tools, or industrial motor-control applications.
- Familiarity with Git and AI-assisted coding tools.
Experience Criteria Candidates must have at least one year of relevant professional experience. Experience should include work in an embedded firmware, embedded systems, electronics product development, or closely related engineering role.
Academic projects and internships may supplement professional experience but will not independently satisfy the one-year minimum.
