Role Description The Relationship Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dalhousie, Kolkata, within the Greater Kolkata Area. This role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of retail and/or institutional clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention. Day-to-day activities include understanding client investment objectives, advising on suitable products (equities, derivatives, commodities, currency derivatives, IPOs, NPS, PMS, and depository services), and executing transactions in line with regulatory and internal compliance standards.

Manager will regularly interact with clients through meetings, calls, and digital channels, provide market updates and research-driven insights, and proactively identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams such as research, operations, and compliance to ensure smooth service delivery and timely resolution of client queries.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong client relationship management, customer service, and interpersonal skills to build trust and maintain long-term associations.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of financial markets, investment products (equities, derivatives, commodities, currency, IPOs, NPS, PMS), and basic portfolio management concepts.
- Candidates should possess effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to explain investment ideas and market developments clearly.
- Candidates should possess sales and business development abilities, including cross-selling, up-selling, and meeting revenue or AUM targets.
- Candidates should possess analytical and research-oriented skills to interpret market data, use research reports, and support informed recommendations.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in the securities industry and adhere to ethical standards.
- Relevant academic qualification such as a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., NISM modules) are an advantage
